Life, by its very nature, is creative. It expands, grows, and connects. Staying in touch with your creativity is staying in touch with life itself. So many of us hunter-types are artists. Along with our many challenges come countless gifts. And creativity is usually one of them.
Making a Living As An “Artist”
A high percentage of hunter-types gravitate towards the creative arts. In fact, the running joke amongst people working in the entertainment industry is, “all of Hollywood is ADD.”
However, having a particular creative gift usually isn’t enough to pay the bills. There’s a specific skills required to turn your creativity into something that financially supports you. Unfortunately, many very talented artists get relegated to jobs that crush their spirit because they (understandably) need to keep a roof over their head and food on the table.
Having some basic business skills can go along way in making a successful living as an artist. And the better your skills, the more you’ll be able to do the kind of work you’re most passionate about.
